Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

we are currently looking for Senior Ruby on Rails Developers (m/f/d) to support in one of our clients projects.

Key information:
– project starting date: ASAP / January 2023
– project duration: 12 months ++
– hours per week: 40 h
– project language: English, (German is a Plus)
– performance location: 100 % remote, Timezone: Germany +/- 2 h
– hardware: BYOD

The Project:
The client is a wholesaler/retailer for construction materials. Support is required for the further development of their client-facing internal and e-commerce tools. Suitable candidates bring expertise in creating innovative consumer software products and thrive in an agile, collaborative and data-informed environments. The candidates will help drive consumer products innovation in close collaboration with the product owners. High level communication skills and some multi-tasking are equally important as a passion for developing rock-solid products with superior UX.

Required Skillset:
– 4 years + experience in agile backend development
– modern object-oriented programming with Ruby
– Ruby on Rails (very important!)
– database management systems: MySQL, PostgreSQL
– server administration: Ubuntu Server or other UNIX-based; ideally experience with Ansible
– DRY programming principles
– Test-driven development
– Git
– TypeScript, ReactJS, HTML and CSS for data visialisation and building user interfaces
– Cordova (basics helpful)
